Danielle Drake

Dani absolutely loves her role with us at A Walk in the Bark! She has been demonstrating her commitment to compassionate pet services, as a part time dog walker and pet sitter since 2017. Her approach focuses on positive, safe and reward based professional care. Dani will understand the needs of your pet, providing lots of affection and knowing how to hold space for shy or reactive pets. She has proven to be a patient and reliable member of the A Walk in the Bark team. 

Dani completed Pet First Aid and CPR Certification in 2017. To keep her training up to date, she updated her certificate through St. John's Ambulance in August 2020. Her past animal work experience include Ruffins Pet Center, where she gained knowledge in pet nutrition and loved engaging with costumers and their pets. In high school she had the opportunity to complete a co-op placement at Kingsway Animal Hospital in Hamilton and she volunteered at the H/B SPCA as a dog walker, working with dogs awaiting adoption. 

At home, she is a proud mom to her unique senior dog Riley - a 17 year old German Shepherd, Jack Russell Terrier and Chihuahua mix! Hugo - an all black rescue kitty and newly adopted Lola, the most cuddley Goldendoodle.
